Service Operations & Technical Support Specialist
A recognized organization is hiring a Service Operations & Technical Support Specialist to enhance operational efficiency and customer service excellence. This role is ideal for individuals with strong troubleshooting abilities, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to supporting both clients and field technicians.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for service requests, assisting clients and scheduling jobs.
- Maintain service records and update documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Support field technicians by preparing equipment, organizing tools, and ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Handle basic troubleshooting of storage devices and system diagnostics.
- Perform inventory management, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are available.
- Occasionally travel on-site to assist with service-related tasks.
Qualifications & Skills
- Must be 18 years or older and meet insurance bonding requirements.
- Possess a valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract.
- Basic technical and troubleshooting knowledge, particularly regarding hardware and storage systems.
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal).

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Calgary, AB T2X 1P1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- DCS / DEC (preferred)
Experience:
- IT support: 2 years (preferred)
- Customer service: 3 years (preferred)
Language:
- English (required)
Licence/Certification:
- CompTIA A+ (preferred)
- A++ (preferred)
- Class 5 Licence (required)
